Who can access it
Admin, Super Admin, Account Owner. Agents do not have this tab; they see a record's contact information on the call screen.

Step by step
Import a List
- Open Lists & Import and click Lists.
- Click Import CSV. The import has four steps: Campaign, Columns, Checks, and Review.
- Campaign: pick an existing Campaign, or click Create a new campaign instead, enter a New campaign name, and click Create. Click Continue.
- Columns: upload a CSV or XLSX file. Under Map columns to fields, match your file's columns to DialPro fields. Under Phone number columns, click Add phone column for each phone column and give it a label, for example Mobile. Unmatched columns are kept as custom fields. Click Continue.
- Checks: turn Validate numbers on to check every number before it is dialed.
- Turn Scrub against DNC registry on to check every number against the DNC registry once, at import. Leave it off only if you scrubbed the List yourself in the last 31 days (see Importing with the DNC scrub off below).
- Review the cost shown for the checks you turned on. Click Continue.
- Review: check the Campaign, the file, the checks you chose, and the number of New records after the duplicate check.
- Click Import N records.
- Read the summary: how many records were imported, duplicates skipped, rows skipped with no phone number, and rows that failed because of a bad phone number.
If an import stops part way, nothing already imported is lost. Click Resume import to continue from the next row.
Add one contact
- Open Lists & Import and click Add contact.
- Enter the Full name.
- Enter the Phone number as a 10-digit US number, for example (614) 555-0104.
- Choose the Campaign.
- Optionally enter Company and Email.
- Click Add contact.
If the number is not a 10-digit US number, the app shows "Enter a 10-digit US phone number, for example (614) 555-0104." and the contact is not added.
Search and filter records
- Open Lists & Import and click Lists.
- Type in Search name, number, company or city….
- Pick a status from the status list, or Skipped to see records the dialer is skipping.
- Pick a Campaign from All campaigns, or Unassigned for records with no Campaign.
- Optionally set Imported From and Imported To. Clear date range removes them.
- Read the match count next to the filters, for example 240 contacts.
- If more records match than are shown, click Load more at the bottom.
- Click Export CSV to download every record that matches the filters.
Assign records to a Campaign
- Tick the records in the table, or tick the box in the header to select the whole page.
- Click Assign to campaign (N).
- Choose an active Campaign.
- Click Assign.
Only the Campaign changes. DNC results, holds, and scrub status stay as they are. A record on a live call is skipped.
Delete records
- Tick the records in the table.
- Click Delete (N).
- Read the message and click Delete.
The records move to Deleted Items. A record on a live call is skipped. Call logs, DNC results, and the internal DNC list do not change. You can delete up to 500 records at a time.
The DNC buttons in Import History
Super Admins and Account Owners see buttons in the DNC column of Import History. Admins see a dash, or the List's status when it is Waiting for approval or Rejected.
| Button | What it does | Who sees it |
|---|---|---|
| Approve | Your company already scrubbed this List. Free. DialPro does not check the numbers. | Super Admin, Account Owner, on a List waiting for approval or rejected |
| Reject | The List stays held and is not dialed. | Super Admin, Account Owner, on a List waiting for approval |
| Re-scrub list | DialPro checks every number against the DNC registry. Paid per number. No approval is needed after it. | Super Admin, Account Owner, on every List |
| Confirm re‑scrubbed | Your company scrubbed the List again by itself. Free. Restarts the 31 days. | Super Admin, Account Owner. Always on a List imported with the scrub off; on a List imported with the scrub on only while a signed DNC addendum is on file |
| Check these again (N left) | Checks again only the numbers DialPro could not check. | Super Admin, Account Owner, on a List with numbers still held |
Hover over a button to read what it does. While a DNC check runs on a List, its other buttons are turned off and show A DNC check is running on this list.
Show or hide the DNC buttons guide
- Open Lists & Import and click Import History.
- Read the DNC buttons card above the table. It lists each button and what it does.
- Click Hide to close the card. DialPro remembers this for you in this browser.
- Click Show DNC buttons guide to open the card again.
Approve a List waiting for approval
When an Admin imports a List with Scrub against DNC registry off, the List waits for approval. The import shows "This list will wait for your Account Owner to approve it. Its numbers cannot be dialed until then." Every number on it is held from dialing until the List is approved or checked. The Account Owner and the Super Admin approve it, and they get an email when a List is waiting.
- Open Lists & Import and click Import History.
- Find the List. The DNC column shows Waiting for approval and "Pick one: Approve if your company already scrubbed this list. Re-scrub list to let DialPro check it."
- Choose one of the two paths:
- Approve: your company already scrubbed the List against the DNC registry. Click Approve. Read the summary of the List's numbers. Click Download results to get each number and what the approval does to it. Enter Date of your scrub, How was it scrubbed?, and optionally File or report name. Click Approve. DialPro does not check the numbers.
- Re-scrub list: let DialPro check the List. Click Re-scrub list, read the cost, and click Re-scrub list. When it is done, the List no longer needs approval. Numbers that get a clear result can be dialed.
- To refuse the List instead, click Reject, enter the Reason, and click Reject. The List stays held and its numbers are not dialed. The List then shows Rejected, and it can still be approved or re-scrubbed later.
The date of your scrub cannot be in the future or more than 31 days ago.
Re-check a List's DNC status
- Open Lists & Import and click Import History.
- Find the List. The button colour turns yellow when the List's 31-day check is due soon and red when it has expired.
- To let DialPro check it, click Re-scrub list. Every clear result is looked up again. Numbers already known as Do Not Call are not checked again. Review the numbers that will be checked and the wallet balance before and after, then click Re-scrub list.
- If your company scrubbed the List again by itself, click Confirm re‑scrubbed. Read the statement, enter Date of your scrub, How was it scrubbed?, and optionally File or report name, and click Confirm. This needs a signed DNC addendum on file.
Follow a running check
- After you start Re-scrub list or Check these again, the button shows Starting....
- While the check runs, the button shows Running... X of Y checked. The row updates on its own.
- When the check ends, the row shows a result line, for example Done: 240 can be dialed, 12 blocked, 3 still held.
- Click the X next to the line to close it.
Numbers that could not be checked
Sometimes the DNC registry gives no answer for a number. That number is held from dialing, and the List's row shows X number(s) still held. Hover over it to read why.
- Open Lists & Import and click Import History.
- Find the List with X number(s) still held.
- Click Check these again (N left). You can use it 2 times per List. After that the button goes away.
- Read how many numbers will be checked and the cost, then click Check these again.
What happens next:
- Only checks that work are charged. A check that gives no result is not charged.
- DialPro retries by itself once a day for 3 days. Each number still held is checked again once a day.
- After 3 days with no answer, the number becomes "Not verified". It is not dialed until the next Re-scrub list. The row shows X number(s) not verified: not dialed. Hover over it to read why.
- A number that gets a result is released or blocked by that result.
The "not verified" email
When numbers on a List become Not verified, the Account Owner and the Super Admin get one email for that List. The subject is Numbers not verified with the List's name. The email says how many numbers, the List, and the Campaign, and why: DialPro tried to check them for 3 days and the DNC registry gave no answer, so they are not dialed.
Its What to do section says:
- Nothing to do now.
- They are checked again at the next Re-scrub list.
Open a List's Details
- Open Lists & Import and click Import History.
- Click Details at the end of the List's row.
- Read Status, for example Ready to dial, Waiting for approval, Rejected, or 3 numbers held.
- Under Numbers, read the total and each line with its count, its reason, and what to do:
- Can be dialed
- Blocked: DNC, Blocked: Litigator, or Blocked: on your Do Not Call list. These can never be dialed.
- Not verified: the DNC registry gave no answer for 3 days. Checked again at the next Re-scrub list.
- Held: waiting for approval, Held: rejected, Held: could not be checked, Held: outside your registered area codes, or Held: re-scrub needed.
- Use the button on a line when it shows one: Check these again (N left), Re-scrub list, or Approve. The popup runs the same action as the row's button.
- Click Download results to get a CSV of every record's numbers with Record name, Phone number, Status, and Reason.
- Read History: each step of the List with its date and who did it, for example the import, approvals, re-scrubs, Check these again, each daily retry, and numbers that became Not verified.
Search rules
Search runs over every record in the account, together with the status, Campaign, and import date filters.
- Phone number: type the full 10-digit number in any format: 6145550104, (614) 555-0104, 614-555-0104, or +1 614 555 0104. It finds the record if any of its numbers match. Part of a number does not match.
- Name, company, or city: the search matches the start of the name, company, or city, or the start of any word in them. Capital letters do not matter. For example, "smi" finds "John Smith" and "Smithfield".
- Email and street address are not searched.
- Results show the newest records first, up to 500 at a time. Load more shows the next 500.
Records with more than one number
A record can hold several phone numbers, each with its own label.
- The table shows the first number. Click +N more to see the others, and Show less to hide them.
- Each number shows its label and its own DNC status. Click the phone button next to a number to call it.
- The DNC Status column shows one label when all the numbers agree. When they differ, it shows how many are affected, for example 1 of 2 numbers pending. Hover over it to see each number's status.
- The phone button is turned off for a number that is blocked from dialing, for example Do Not Call or DNC check pending. The record's other numbers can still be dialed.
Phone numbers at import
Only valid 10-digit US numbers are imported.
- A number that is not a valid US number is skipped. The rest of the row still imports if it has another valid number.
- A row with no valid number fails with Invalid phone number.
- The import summary shows both: "N rows failed: Invalid phone number. N invalid phone numbers skipped."
- Import History shows the same counts under the Failed column: N Invalid phone number and N numbers skipped.
Phone number format
Every screen shows US numbers in one format: (614) 555-0104. Search accepts any format. CSV exports keep the number as it is stored.
Validate numbers
The Validate numbers toggle checks every phone number in the List at import, before anything is dialed.
- Numbers that are not valid US numbers are marked invalid and never dialed.
- Validation runs first. If the DNC scrub is also on, it starts when validation finishes, so you never pay to scrub a dead number.
- The toggle is off by default.
- A number that could not be checked right now is not charged and not marked invalid.
Importing with the DNC scrub off
Leaving Scrub against DNC registry off means you scrubbed the List yourself with your own SAN in the last 31 days. Enter Date of your scrub, How was it scrubbed?, and optionally File or report name. When an Admin imports with the scrub off, the List waits for approval instead (see Approve a List waiting for approval above).
- If a signed DNC addendum is on file, the app shows "Covered by your signed DNC addendum." and logs who imported the List and when.
- If no addendum is on file, the app shows "A signed DNC addendum is needed before importing with scrub OFF. Contact DialPro." and the import cannot continue with the scrub off. The addendum is set by DialPro.
Fields explained
- Campaign: The Campaign the List is imported into. The records table shows it in the Campaign column; Unassigned means no Campaign.
- Map columns to fields / Phone number columns: Pair each file column with a DialPro field. Each phone column gets a label.
- Custom fields: Unmatched file columns kept with the record.
- Validate numbers: Checks every number at import. Invalid numbers are never dialed.
- Scrub against DNC registry: Checks every number against the national and state Do Not Call registries and known litigators once, at import. Each check is charged from the wallet.
- Estimated total cost: The wallet cost of the checks you turned on, shown before you import.
- Status: The record's call status. Skipped means the dialer is passing over it for now, with the reason: Outside calling hours, Unknown time zone, Consent too old, DNC, or DNC check pending.
- DNC Status: Clear, Do Not Call, Litigator, Internal DNC, Unscrubbed, Unsupported, or DNC check pending.
- DNC check pending: The number's DNC check could not be done. It is held from dialing until a later check gives a result. See DNC.
- Not verified: The DNC registry gave no answer for the number for 3 days. It is held and not dialed until the next Re-scrub list.
- Imported: When the record was imported.
- Import History columns: Imported By, When, File, Campaign, Total Rows, Success, Failed, Status, and DNC.
- Record: One contact inside a List. It can have several phone numbers, each with a label.
